YOUR IMPACT:

As a Software Engineer you will utilize your knowledge and experience to perform systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You become a member of one of our Agile-based project teams, focusing on product development. It is an exciting opportunity to design and implement solutions for enterprise level systems.
OpenText Business Network is a modern cloud platform that helps manage the full data lifecycle, from information capture and exchange to integration and governance.
Business Network solutions establish the necessary digital backbone for streamlined connectivity, secure collaboration, and real-time business intelligence across an expanding network of internal systems, cloud applications, trading partner systems and connected devices.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

• As a Software Engineer, you should have good design and coding skills.
• You will be part of an agile team, take on complex problems and design and code.
• You are not only expected to deliver your area but contribute to the overall product space.
• You are expected to participate in the technical innovation within your product area.
• Typically, you would have had 3-5 years of experience designing and building software products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent/MCA/ equivalent
• 3-6 years relevant work experience

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 3-6 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience in data-intensive or analytics-focused applications.
• Extensive expertise in full stack development
• Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular.
• API: RESTful API design, Microservices architecture, GraphQL.
• Back-End: Java, Spring Boot, REST, Node.js
• Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Good to have expertise
• Designing and implementing data platforms using technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
• Data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed systems.
• AI& Automation: AI/ML concepts, Gen/Agentic AI, Integration of AI services, RAG, MCP.
• DevOps: Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), Docker, Kubernetes
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP; Serverless& Infrastructure as Code
• Security: Secure coding, OAuth/JWT, compliance awareness
• Agile Tools: JIRA, Confluence; Scrum/Kanban practices
• Strong communication skills - verbal, written.

Technical Skills

• Experience in data-intensive or analytics-focused applications.
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Airflow)
• Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Back-End: Java, SpringBoot, REST, Node.js, Python,
• API design (REST/GraphQL)
• Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB)
• DevOps: Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), Docker, Kubernetes
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP; Serverless& Infrastructure as Code
• Agile Tools: JIRA, Confluence; Scrum/Kanban practices
• Security: Secure coding, OAuth/JWT, compliance awareness
• AI& Automation: Basic AI/ML concepts, integration of AI APIs
• Strong communication skills - verbal, written.
