Job Function

To contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software systems by implementing defined features, fixing bugs, and learning industry best practices under the guidance of senior engineers. This role focuses on building core technical skills, understanding business applications, and progressing toward independent contributions.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and maintain code for assigned features and bug fixes
• Follow best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Collaborate with peers, senior engineers, and product teams to understand requirements
• Participate in code reviews to learn standards and provide feedback
• Assist with testing, debugging, and deployment activities
• Maintain clear and structured documentation for code and processes
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.)
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., GitHub)
• Basic knowledge of SDLC and software testing practices
• Ability to use standard office equipment as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with web frameworks (Django, React, Angular, etc.)
• Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Internship, academic, or project-based experience in software engineering
