Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer/ Module Lead- Java

ABOUT THIS TEAM

BOLD Platform services team design, creates, manage and maintains the highly scalable and distributed services for the wider use of web and mobile product applications/portals/websites. The current list of services is based on Microservices architecture whose domain ranges from visitor tracking, User profiles, authentication, content and payments.

Platform team uses state of the art modern technologies like .Net framework, Python, Java, SQL Server, My SQL, Graph DB, SOLR, and a lot of other tools & technologies serving millions of users with hundreds of million transactions everyday through a scalable and fault tolerant architecture.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize APIs (REST,gRPC and GraphQL) for high performance and scalability.
• Experience in Reactive programming.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security in production environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in coding, testing, and cloud development.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, and Kinesis.
• Proficiency in GraphQL API development.
• Strong background in AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, Auto Scaling, API Gateway, etc.).
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed system design.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with Solr/OpenSearch/Elasticsearch

WHAT’S GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Spinnaker, Jenkins).
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (SNS, SQS) and data streaming and processing framworks(kinesis,spark)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

EXPERIENCE:

• Software Engineer-Java- 2.5 years+
• Senior Software Engineer- Java- 4.5 years+
• Module Lead- Java- 6 years+
