Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the creation of test plans and test strategies based on project requirements and timelines.
• Understanding the scope of testing and identifying the types of testing required (e.g., functional, regression, integration, performance).
• Designing, writing, and maintaining detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scripts.
• Executing manual testing and automation is a plus
• Reporting bugs and issues in a clear, concise, and detailed manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Reporting the status of assigned tasks and testing efforts to the project manager.
• Conducting Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
• Conducting Unit, Integration and System Testing at different stages of project development.
• Working Experience with Jira and Trello.

Qualification and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 1- 2 years of experience in software Quality Assurance and testing roles emphasizing backend service and web applications, and end-to-end integration testing verification.

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with Testing Types, SQA Principles, Methodologies, Processes, SDLC, Bug Life Cycle.
• Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects.
• Experience in writing and executing test cases.
• Experience with Project Management tools like JIRA and Trello.
• Understanding of code repositories like GitHub.
• Unit, Integration, and System testing.
• Basic understanding of automation in Cypress, Selenium.
• Ability to provide multiple paths of testing utilizing a risk-based approach.
• ·Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
• Experience in testing Websites, APIs, Desktop, and Mobile applications.
