Software Test Engineer

Merzigo is currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer to join our remote technology team.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manual and integration testing processes, and experience with tools like Postman and SOAP UI. Responsibilities

• Prepare test scenarios based on software project analysis
• Perform manual testing and ensure test data is properly created and maintained
• Execute integration and regression tests and report results
• Document and track bugs, collaborate with developers for resolution
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and support troubleshooting
• Ensure high-quality delivery aligned with project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, MIS, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a software testing role
• Hands-on experience in preparing test plans, cases, and procedures
• Experience in integration and regression testing
• Familiarity with performance testing tools
• Working knowledge of tools such as SOAP UI and Postman
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
