Solar Design Engineer

1. System Design & Engineering

• Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems based on site assessments and customer requirements.
• Perform load calculations, system sizing, and layout using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Helioscope.
• Select appropriate system components (solar panels, inverters, batteries, etc.) based on project needs and specifications.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and panel placement drawings.

2. Electrical & Structural Analysis

• Perform AC and DC electrical calculations (voltage drop, string sizing, current capacity, etc.).
• Evaluate and incorporate structural elements for mounting and racking systems.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes (e.g., NEC in the US), building codes, and safety regulations.

3. Simulation & Performance Analysis

• Use simulation tools (e.g., PVSyst, HOMER, SAM) to forecast system performance and energy yield.
• Analyze irradiance, shading, tilt, and orientation to optimize system output.
• Provide performance ratio (PR) and generation estimates in technical proposals.

4. Documentation & Technical Reports

• Create and maintain design documentation, bills of materials (BOM), and technical data sheets.
• Prepare proposal documents, engineering reports, and compliance checklists.
• Submit permit drawings and support local authority approvals when required.

5. Project Support

• Coordinate with sales, procurement, project managers, and installation teams to ensure technical feasibility and execution.
• Provide technical guidance during site surveys and installations.
• Troubleshoot and revise designs based on site-specific changes or installation feedback.

6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on new solar technologies, industry standards, and emerging design tools.
• Recommend design enhancements for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,212.57 - ₹24,300.65 per month
