Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Solar Draftsman with 1–2 years of experience to prepare accurate technical drawings and layouts for residential, commercial, and small industrial solar PV projects. The candidate will work closely with the Design Engineer and Execution Team to ensure project drawings meet technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare solar panel layout drawings for rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
• Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical wiring layouts.
• Create mounting structure drawings and installation details.
• Prepare net-metering submission drawings as per DISCO requirements.
• Modify and update drawings based on site conditions and engineer feedback.
• Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
• Assist in preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) when required.
• Maintain organized documentation of all project drawings.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, PVsyst, Helioscope is mandatory.
• Basic understanding of solar PV systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of inverter placement, cable routing, and panel orientation.
• Familiarity with 3D tools (preferred).
• Knowledge of PV software (Helioscope / PVsyst) is a must.
• Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / DAE in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (preferred but not mandatory)
