Solar Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Electrician to join our growing team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in solar inverter commissioning, fault rectification, and operation & maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants. This role is critical to ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of solar energy systems, including LV and MV electrical infrastructure. Hands on experience in motor maintenance and basic PLC exposure will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of solar inverters and associated equipment.

Diagnose and rectify electrical and system faults in solar power plants to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, combiner boxes, junction boxes, and cabling.

Operate and maintain Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and control panels.

Carry out motor maintenance, including inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of AC/DC motors and related control circuits.

Support basic PLC-based systems, including fault identification, signal checking, and coordination with automation teams (PLC experience is a plus).

Monitor system performance, analyze alarms, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance logs, fault analysis reports, commissioning checklists, and technical documentation.

Coordinate with engineering, operations, and site teams to ensure smooth plant operations and timely issue resolution.

Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company policies at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Solar Electrician or in a similar role within the solar or renewable energy sector.

Strong hands-on expertise in solar inverter commissioning, troubleshooting, and solar power plant maintenance.

Proven experience working with LV and MV electrical systems, including switchgear and protection systems.

Practical knowledge of motor maintenance and electrical control systems.

Basic knowledge or hands-on exposure to PLC systems will be considered an added advantage.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics, and technical manuals.

Solid understanding of electrical safety procedures, preventive maintenance practices, and industry standards.

Diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or a related technical field (preferred).

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work on-site and respond to operational and maintenance requirements as needed.
