Solidwork Designer

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed façade/shop drawings; AutoCAD proficiency is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in façade systems, architectural metal works, or steel fabrication.
• Strong understanding of architectural façade systems, including cladding, handrails, louvers, pergolas, and custom metal structures.
• Familiar with GCC building codes, façade standards, and metal fabrication practices.
• Proven ability to prepare fabrication-ready and CNC-compatible models/drawings for production.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects and coordination requirements.

Technical & Coordination Expertise

• Develop accurate 3D models and detailed shop drawings using SolidWorks based on architectural and IFC drawings.
• Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, site teams, and clients to translate design intent into practical fabrication details.
• Coordinate with factory and site teams to ensure design feasibility, material optimization, and smooth execution.
• Prepare and update drawings based on site measurements, RFIs, and coordination with other trades such as glazing, aluminum, and structural steel.
• Ensure proper documentation, version control, and drawing approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resolve design and installation issues by providing technical detailing, connection solutions, and fabrication guidance.
• Deliver accurate as-built drawings and models, including materials, finishes, fixing details, and installation requirements.
