Solution Architect Presales

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure & Data Center Solution Architect with a strong presales background to lead strategic enterprise engagements and large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives. This role requires a combination of deep technical expertise and commercial acumen, enabling the candidate to act as a trusted advisor to CIOs and IT leadership while driving revenue growth through well-architected, competitive, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Presales & Business Engagement

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead high-value presales engagements by translating customer business requirements into technically sound and commercially viable solutions. The candidate will conduct discovery workshops, engage executive stakeholders, define solution strategies, and develop compelling value propositions that differentiate offerings in competitive environments. Responsibilit

ies include ownership of RFP/RFQ responses, technical proposal development, solution positioning, cost optimization, and participation in technical bid defenses. The architect will work closely with sales teams to support opportunity qualification, pipeline growth, and successful deal closures, ensuring alignment between technical design and business objectives.

Solution Architecture & Design

The role involves designing comprehensive infrastructure architectures covering compute, enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, Object), virtualization platforms, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and hybrid cloud environments. The candidate will prepare detailed HLDs, LLDs, SOWs, architecture blueprints, and BOM/BOQ documentation while ensuring scalability, high availability, and performance optimization. Experience in data center modernization, consolidation programs, and infrastructure refresh initiatives is essential, along with the ability to design robust HA and DR architectures aligned with defined RPO/RTO requirements.

Hybrid Cloud & Modern Infrastructure Strategy

The architect will define hybrid and multi-cloud strategies integrating on-premises infrastructure with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. This includes developing cloud adoption roadmaps, governance frameworks, and security-aligned infrastructure models that support modern workloads, analytics, and AI-ready environments. The role also requires conducting architecture reviews, risk assessments, and performance optimization initiatives to ensure operational excellence and compliance alignment.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical interface between customers, OEM vendors, and internal delivery teams. The role demands strong stakeholder management capabilities, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to mentor technical teams while maintaining high standards of documentation and governance across engagements.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, including at least 3–5 years in a presales or solution architecture role. Proven experience in managing complex enterprise bids and engaging senior stakeholders is required. Professional certifications such as ITIL, VMware certifications, cloud certifications (AWS/Azure), storage vendor certifications, or CCNA are highly desirable.
