Sorani Linguist (Travel)

Metropolitan area, MLS is accessible 24/7 to respond to short-fused, ongoing and surge requirements worldwide.

We are actively seeking Sorani Linguists to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Linguists shall be required to be on the Travel Team/Travel Only program
• Consecutive interpretation between source and target languages
• Translation into English and source language
• Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
• Editing and Quality Control of language products

Requirements:

• Ability to pass an advanced English test
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
• Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
• Minimum three (3) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
• College education in target language
• Workflow Management
• Subject Matter Expertise in Religion, Science and Technology, and Sponsor Operations areas of focus

Clearance Requirements:

All Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. Preference will be given to Candidates with TS/SCI with CI poly. However, all other candidates with any level of clearance, including those with no clearance, but who are deemed eligible, may be considered.
