ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under the general supervision of the Business Services Manager in the Finance Division by supporting supplier negotiations, conducting market analyses, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure sourcing activities align with the City’s strategic and operational goals. Coordinates sourcing activities to support the City’s material, quality, and service requirements. Assists with supplier negotiations and structured sourcing processes. Gathers and analyzes market data, vendor proposals, and benchmarking information. Tracks vendor performance through KPIs, scorecards, and performance reports.

Evaluates new sources and suppliers to ensure reliable, high-quality options. Collaborates with departments to clarify specifications and service needs. Utilizes ERP systems to manage sourcing data and generate analytical reports. Prepares sourcing summaries, analyses, and vendor evaluations for leadership. Contributes to the development of sourcing policies, standards, and efficiency improvements.

1. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL CONDITIONS: Requires the use of general office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and telephones. Requires the ability to communicate both orally and in writing with managers and staff.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is primarily performed in an office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field and six (6) years of experience in sourcing, supplier management, or related analytical functions; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Working experience using ERP or sourcing management systems required.
