Sourcing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Supplier Identification & Development

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and capacity.
• Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and performance reviews.
• Develop long-term supplier partnerships to support business growth.

2. Cost Management & Negotiation

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value improvement.
• Analyze cost drivers and support cost breakdown analysis (CBA).
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.

3. Technical Collaboration

• Collaborate with engineering teams on material specifications, drawings, BOM reviews, and manufacturability.
• Support design-for-sourcing and design-to-cost activities.
• Evaluate technical feasibility of sourcing options with engineering input.

4. Supplier Performance Management

• Monitor supplier quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness.
• Drive corrective actions for poor-performing suppliers.
• Maintain and update supplier scorecards.

5. Procurement Support

• Work with procurement to ensure accurate purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory planning.
• Resolve supply-related issues, delays, or escalations from production.

6. Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Maintain documentation related to supplier compliance, NDAs, and contracts.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹57,420.45 per month
