What makes the role meaty?

Plant Operations Management

  • Lead daily plant operations of third-party plants covering chicken and mutton processing, packaging, chilling and dispatch
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials to achieve production targets
  • Monitor KPIs (yield, productivity, downtime, wastage, etc.) and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, FSSAI, Halal)
  • Maintain hygiene and sanitation protocols across the plant
  • Implement and monitor SOPs to ensure product quality and consistency

People & Resource Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate production teams, supervisors, and operators
  • Develop skill-building programs for staff to enhance operational efficiency
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability

Supply Chain & Coordination

  • Collaborate with procurement for raw material planning (live birds, Goat & Lamb, carcass, etc)
  • Coordinate with logistics and cold chain teams for timely arrival & distribution to customer/PC
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ensure minimal wastage

Cost & Efficiency Control

  • Manage operational budgets and reduce processing costs without compromising quality
  • Optimize yields and minimize rejects and wastage
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices

Strategic & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and develop corrective action plans
  • Support capacity expansion, new product development, etc


We hope that you have..

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Veterinary / Food Technology / Supply Chain (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement of red meat, livestock, or fresh food or frozen categories
  • Experience in vendor development and farm-level sourcing is a strong advantage
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Deep understanding of red meat supply chain, yield, quality parameters, and cold chain
  • Ability to manage on-ground operations and supplier relationships
  • Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments
