Job Purpose

Responsibile for AkzoNobel's regional logistics sourcing to include developing strategy, selecting suppliers, and developing relationships with key stakeholders. Will also award business, manage contracting and risk management, and initiate continuous improvement to include transport, warehousing, and fourth party logistics. Will ensure supply and delivery against optimum and benchmarked costs based on agreed business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Own the development and deployment of regional sourcing activities in alighment with AkzoNobel's objectives and performance systems to include:
    • Commercial activities with suppliers to include contract negotiation, approval, implementation and maintenance.
    • Develop and deploy creative regional sourcing strategies per the category roadmap, contributing to global sourcing strategies and serving as the regional representative and/or category expert.
    • Manage all logistics spend purchased by AkzoNobel in designated region to include supply risk mitigation and management, key performance indicator and financial result reporting, and the delivery of insights and forecasting.
    • Work closely with Global Logistics Managers/Directors, Integrated Supply Chain Logistics Manager, Regional/Business Unit Supply Chain Directors, Regional Procurement Directors, and senior management of the logistics top suppliers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
  • 5 years' supply chain experience to include negotiating, contracting and managing Logistics.
  • Understand the regional logistics category, suppliers, market trands, cost drivers and technologies.
  • Define and execute supply chain/sourcing strategies.
  • Proven ability to drive supplier cost, quality and delivery performance improvement programs.
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with the ability to drive results.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with team members at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be fluent in English. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $125,000.00 - $140,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
