- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on cost savings, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Manage supplier relationships through regular communication, performance evaluations, and root cause analysis to address issues proactively.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements that support procurement management goals.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to process purchase orders, track procurement activities, and maintain accurate materials management records.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams on production planning, materials availability, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Conduct category management activities by analyzing market trends, supplier capabilities, and supply chain risks to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company policies during all procurement and contract management processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management or sourcing within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms used for procurement and materials management.
- Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, supplier management, and category management techniques.
- Familiarity with production planning tools like MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and logistics coordination.
- Excellent analytical skills for root cause analysis related to supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
- Understanding of federal regulations governing procurement practices is preferred but not mandatory.
- Effective negotiation skills combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
