Sourcing & Procurement Lead

Role description

Role Purpose: To coordinate with the central procurement team for raw material and identify and provide for specific business unit Key Accountabilities: Experience working with multiple vendors and handling of vendor management system, Working knowledge of commercial related areas of a plant, Btech with 5-7+ years experience Preferred Experience and Qualification:

Partners with the Project Heads/Plant Heads, SCM Unit Head and the central sourcing team to provide raw materials for business operations

Responsible for achievement of objectives for specific work areas within Procurement department such as procurement and allied systems with optimal resource allocation (time, money , manpower, material etc.)

Handles local vendor identification, management and development initiatives for local and strategic sourcing

Coordinates with the SCM operations, for making purchasing decisions based on inventory available

Handle e-tendering, e-auction for necessary procurement processes

Manage and mentor procurement teams at plant or project level and align to Sterlite values
