Sourcing Specialist

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our partner company!

Our partner operates in the on-demand manufacturing ecosystem, delivering technology-driven manufacturing solutions to a diverse global customer base across multiple industries.

In this role, you will play an active part in managing sourcing operations for manufacturing orders coming primarily from the US market. You will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders are placed with the most suitable manufacturing partners in Türkiye and globally, while balancing profitability, on-time shipment, and quality targets. You will work closely with internal teams and manufacturing partners to ensure complex manufacturing projects are sourced effectively and delivered successfully within Xometry’s global operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain constant and direct communication with manufacturing partners and internal teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements

• Evaluate and assign orders to the most suitable partners based on price, quality, delivery timelines, and production capabilities

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Partner Network and Operations teams

• Manage sourcing processes in coordination with customer-facing teams to support complex RFQs and customer requests

• Support regional growth objectives by identifying capable manufacturers for new technologies, materials, and production requirements

• Monitor supplier market conditions and collect feedback from partners to support sourcing strategies and operational improvements

• Support international sourcing teams with orders that cannot be sourced locally and ensure optimal fulfillment of global customer demands

• Ensure sourcing decisions align with profitability, quality, and on-time shipment targets

• Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while maintaining high service quality and operational efficiency

• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence within the sourcing function

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or similar roles

• Experience working in an international business environment is preferred

• Basic understanding of technical drawings and fundamental GD&T interpretation

• Minimum B2 level English proficiency (written and verbal)

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment

• Strong analytical thinking and prioritization skills

• Proficiency in Google Workspace tools and openness to using AI productivity tools is an advantage

• Ability to make independent decisions within defined operational and pricing frameworks

Nice to Have

• Analytical and technical mindset with exposure to manufacturing technologies

• Knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies is preferred for one of the positions

• Experience working with international supplier or manufacturing networks

• Background in mechanical manufacturing environments is considered a plus
