Job Announcement – Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities & Task Knowledge:

• Assist the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and supervising daily kitchen operations
• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Oriental and Intercontinental dishes in accordance with approved menus and standards
• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation
• Supervise, train, and guide kitchen staff to maintain efficiency, discipline, and teamwork
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene (HACCP), and sanitation standards
• Control food costs through proper portion control, stock rotation (FIFO), and waste reduction
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with procurement, and ensure proper storage of food items
• Support menu planning and contribute creative input for new dishes and specials
• Prepare kitchen reports, schedules, and basic system entries using computer applications
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours, banquets, and special events
• Report equipment issues, maintenance requirements, and operational challenges to the Head Chef

Requirements:

• Arabic speaker
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role
• Strong hands-on experience in Oriental and Intercontinental cuisine
• Good computer skills
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills

Salary Package:

• AED 8,000 – 10,000, depending on experience and qualifications
