Reporting Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst to prepare comprehensive reports tracking organizational contributions across multiple departments and business units. This role requires someone who can navigate complex data workflows, synthesize information from various sources, and deliver actionable insights through trend analysis and clear reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain regular reports documenting organizational contributions segmented by department and business units
- Extract and transform data from internal systems, Tableau dashboards, and SQL databases to create comprehensive reporting deliverables
- Analyze complex workflows to understand data relationships and dependencies across different organizational structures
- Identify and communicate meaningful trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets to stakeholders
- Correlate data from multiple sources to provide holistic views of organizational performance
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reporting templates and dashboards for consistent data presentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy
- Document data processes, definitions, and methodologies to maintain reporting integrity
- Proactively identify opportunities for reporting automation and process improvement
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Excel proficiency: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, data visualization, and dashboard creation
- Power BI / Tableau experience: building and interpreting dashboards, understanding data connections, and creating visualizations
- Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to understand complex business workflows and data relationships
- Demonstrated experience correlating data across multiple systems and identifying data interdependence
- Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate trends within large datasets
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple reporting deliverables simultaneously
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple organizational structures
- Graduate degree BSc, BE, BeTECH in CS/IT or other relevant streams
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in business intelligence, data analysis, or financial reporting
- Familiarity with data governance and quality assurance practices
- Experience with data visualization best practices and storytelling with data
- Knowledge of additional BI tools or programming languages (Python, Power BI)
- SQL expertise: ability to write complex queries including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data transformations
