South Whidbey Animal Care Pro Wanted – Dog walker and/or overnight care (Part-Time)

Based in Coupeville | Serving All of Whidbey Island

We’re looking to add to our animal care team on Whidbey Island!

This is a flexible, part-time contractor position. You do not need to perform all listed services to apply. We are happy to hire someone who specializes in just one area (dog walking or overnight care with potential for bathing or grooming if you are interested). However, applicants who are able to perform more than one service may have access to additional scheduling opportunities.

Services May Include:

• Dog walking (varied breeds, sizes, and temperaments)
• Drop ins for pets such as cats, bunnies, tortoises or farm care
• nail trims
• in home pet care and drop ins

What We’re Looking For:

• Comfortable working around a variety of animals
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable personal transportation (we serve the entire island)
• Dependable phone service for scheduling and client communication
• Grooming experience preferred for grooming applicants, but not required for other roles
• Background check or drug/alcohol testing may be conducted

Position Details:

• Part-time
• 1099 independent contractor
• Compensation is paid per service performed and varies based on service type
• Opportunities for additional training and expanded responsibilities for the right candidate
