Overview

Part Time, Days. Fairbanks Hall, 340 W. 10th Street, Suite 4200, Indianapolis, IN 46202-3082

Simulates a variety of clinical scenarios in the Simulation Center as depicted by the writer(s) of the specific cases. Performs a variety of duties involved in the portrayal of actual patients including a non-invasive physical examination. Receives specific case information and learns and memorizes the character they are to portray. Gives appropriate verbal and written feedback. Teaches and instructs non-invasive physical examination techniques to students participating in the Simulation Center. Grades the student's performance and delivers feedback verbally and/or electronically regarding the student's execution of the exam(s).

Responsibilities of Role

  • Comfortable allowing novice learners practice skills, travel to regional campuses within Indy as needed, be timely and prepared for events. Perform healthcare cases as designed by healthcare professionals. Ability to memorize materials and follow educational tracking requirements

Other Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires ability to memorize and recall learned material, including but not limited to vital organs.
  • Requires the ability to utilize specialized terminology applicable to the case.
  • Some medical knowledge preferred.
  • Requires participation in non-invasive physical exams.
  • Requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Requires successful completion of training provided by the Simulation Center prior to the start date.
