Spanglish Medical Assistant

You’ will administer vaccines, manage patient intake, and support the daily clinical functions as required. <Responsibilities>

• Conduct patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and verifying insurance information in both English and Spanish.
• Measure vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels.
• Support documentation processes using Athena Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring all patient data is complete, accurate, and confidential.
• Facilitate patient education by explaining are plans, and follow-up care in a clear manner manner.
• Manage medical supplies inventory and prepare examination rooms.
• Administer vaccinations to patients ages 21 and under.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions including patient scheduling and medication authorization.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is a plus.
• Experience working in Pediatrics or internal medicine is a plus.
• Familiarity with VFC is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA in a clinical setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
