Job Summary:
The Spare Parts Executive is responsible for managing spare parts sales, inventory, and customer service for generator equipment. The role ensures timely availability of parts, supports service teams, and maintains customer satisfaction through efficient order handling and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle spare parts inquiries, quotations, and sales orders from customers.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners for spare parts procurement.
- Monitor stock levels, ensure availability of critical parts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Prepare spare parts quotations, price comparisons, and purchase requisitions.
- Assist service and maintenance teams in identifying and sourcing required parts.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Negotiate with vendors for pricing, discounts, and delivery terms.
- Manage order processing, delivery schedules, and invoicing.
- Maintain updated product knowledge of generator parts and accessories.
- Support the Spare Parts Manager in achieving sales targets and inventory efficiency.
- Handle warranty claims and coordinate replacement parts as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in spare parts sales, preferably in the generator / heavy equipment / diesel engines industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, and generator systems
- Experience with brands like Cummins, Perkins, or similar is a plus
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP knowledge is an advantage.
- Customer-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required
