Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as an In-home Instructional Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting students' educational growth within their home environments. Liberty partners with cyber charter schools across PA to support students in a virtual setting within their home. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with children providing personalized instruction that fosters learning, development, and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one instruction to students in their homes, focusing on academic subjects and skill development
• Implement individualized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Utilize various learning technologies and educational tools to enhance engagement and understanding
• Support students with classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and focus during lessons
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, including special education needs
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, lesson plans, and instructional activities for reporting purposes

Skills

• Associates degree required
• 1+ year of relative experience required
• Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to individual student needs
• Proficiency with learning technology and digital educational resources
• Experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with children across various age groups, including early childhood education and preschool experience
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior support strategies
• Ability to work effectively with students who have special education requirements or developmental challenges
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and educational teams
• Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and create a positive learning environment
