Special Education Teacher (Resource Role) – 2025–2026 School Year – In‑Person
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person Resource Teacher role during the 2025–2026 school year.

This position is ideal for passionate educators who want to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives—whether you're a seasoned teacher or a new graduate looking for a supportive team and strong mentorship.

Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person
Start Date: ASAP
Role Type: Resource position (supporting students with IEPs)
Elementary, Middle School and High School Positions Available!
Service Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support to students with IEPs in a resource setting
  • Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals
  • Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
  • Fingerprinting and background check required before start
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices
  • New graduates welcome—mentorship and training provided!
