Special Education Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse student populations and a passion for creating inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student progress
• Implement behavioral management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed

Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

• Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
• Knowledge of behavioral health and behavioral therapy techniques
• Familiarity with special education areas such as Deaf education or physical education is a plus
• Previous experience working in preschools, daycares, or with individuals with disabilities
• Strong skills in behavior management and working with people with disabilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50-55 per hour
