We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year 2025-26. For a full-time full year position.
Duties
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and other core subjects.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed to support student development.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student growth.
- Offer tutoring and mentoring to enhance student understanding of material.
- Engage in early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support.
- Foster communication skills through various teaching methods and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience working with students in special education settings.
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is preferred.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom experience.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health issues is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and experience in mentoring or tutoring students.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with families and colleagues.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $82,444.41 - $95,330.90 per year
