Special Education Teacher - Mild Moderate

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year 2025-26. For a full-time full year position.

Duties

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and other core subjects.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed to support student development.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student growth.
• Offer tutoring and mentoring to enhance student understanding of material.
• Engage in early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support.
• Foster communication skills through various teaching methods and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience working with students in special education settings.
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development is preferred.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom experience.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health issues is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and experience in mentoring or tutoring students.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with families and colleagues.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $82,444.41 - $95,330.90 per year
