Spectrum Academy STARS Program in North Salt Lake is seeking a Functional Skills Special Education Teacher to join its team. We have a positive school culture and a shared vision for innovation.

Job duties:

1. Implement the assigned program of study.

2. Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning.

3. Utilize instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximize time on task.

4. Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with school policy.

5. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals on the IEPs.

6. Communicate effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis.

7. Meet professional responsibilities.

8. Maintain and upgrades professional skills.

9. Maintain professional work habits.

10. Promote and maintains positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships.

11. Adhere to the teacher code of conduct.

12. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Principal and the Academic Director

Required:

Teaching certificate

Special Education Teacher

Preferred:

Applied Behavior Analysis

Crisis Intervention

Data Collection

Compensation:

Determined by current licensure, pertinent classroom experience, and education attained.

***This position is also eligible for an additional educator salary adjustment pay which is determined by a valid, current state license per Utah Code 53F-2-405 and licensure remaining in good standing and will be prorated based on start date.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,216.00 per year
