Job Overview
The Special Educator will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and supporting students with special needs. The role involves developing individualized education plans, implementing evidence-based teaching strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure inclusive and effective learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assess the learning needs and abilities of students with special needs
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches as needed
Maintain accurate records of student performance and development
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams (therapists, psychologists, educators)
Provide guidance and support to students for academic, social, and emotional development
Ensure compliance with ethical standards, safety protocols, and institutional policies
Requirements
Strong understanding of special education principles and practices
2nd Class / Grade 'C' M.A / M.Ed. in Special Education or equivalent qualification from a recognized university in Pakistan or abroad
OR 2nd Class / Grade 'C' Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject, plus a Diploma or Certificate in Special Education / relevant teaching experience in Special Education
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and problem-solving abilities
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Student-centered and professional approach
Experience in teaching students with developmental or learning disabilities
Knowledge of modern assistive and adaptive learning tools
Commitment to professional development in special education
