Specialist, Communications & Events

Position Overview As a Communications Specialist, you will support the day-to-day management and execution of communications strategies, programs and activities with great attention to detail and a lot of enthusiasm. The role will focus on all facets of internal and external communications, including executive communications, media relations and social media. The role requires strong writing and communications skills, and experience developing executive presentations.

Job Description

• Assist with the development and implementation of communication plans; manage editorial calendars to aid in strategic communications planning
• Execute social media strategy to drive engagement and increase followers; collaborate with creative team to develop photography for social media; amplify a consistent brand and channel voice.
• Support the management of company-wide meetings; serve as liaison with external vendors; coordinate and manage event logistics
• Support media relations strategy; prepare content such as press releases, media advisories, talking points, etc.
• Support communications plans, on-site headquarter communications, maintaining accurate and up-to-date distribution lists, and testing and deploying emails with strong attention to detail.

• Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F)

Skills:

• Specialized Knowledge: A passion for all aspects of communications, and thorough knowledge of millennial social trends. Experience and active with wide range of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn). Graphic design (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) experience is a plus
• Special Skill: Excellent writing skills; proficient in AP style. Strong communications and organizational skills; team oriented. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; highly detailed oriented and meticulous.
