Specialized Domain Modeler

We are currently looking for a Specialized Domain Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing specialized domain models that support our clients' business processes and data management strategies. Your expertise in domain modeling and your ability to translate business requirements into effective data models will be essential to the success of our projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, a deep understanding of specific business domains, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain specialized domain models that accurately represent business processes and information flows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the specific needs of the business domain.
• Translate business requirements into effective data models that support analytical and operational processes.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across various systems and applications.
• Document domain models and maintain comprehensive metadata for data assets.
• Work closely with data architects and data engineers to ensure alignment between domain models and data architecture.
• Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders regarding domain modeling concepts and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in domain modeling and data management.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of modeling processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a domain modeler or in a similar role with a focus on data modeling.
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of a specific business domain (e.g., finance, healthcare, logistics) and its associated data requirements.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in developing and managing specialized domain models.
• Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Lucidchart).
• Familiarity with data governance and data management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience with metadata management is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in data modeling or data management (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Data Modeling in Practice) are preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages.
• Solid understanding of data integration and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with big data technologies is an advantage.
