Specialty Equipment Operator & Mechanic

Our Specialty Equipment Operator is dispatched to our job locations, which can be found all over the state of Michigan – including metro Detroit, Battle Creek, and Saginaw.

Specialty Equipment Operator & Mechanic qualifications and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Possesses a CDL A. CDL B applicants will be considered
  • Experienced in operating an under-bridge platform truck and other heavy equipment
  • Experience performing diesel engine diagnostics and repairs, and hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs
  • Servicing a variety of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, generators, air compressors, and specialty equipment
  • Performing routine truck/equipment maintenance and inspections
  • Troubleshooting and making general repairs
  • Operating a variety of hand and power tools
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions; including but not limited to, snow, rain and varying temperatures
  • Frequently required to stand, use hands to hold hand and power tools, finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally, the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Works safely near and around highway traffic and noisy operations
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs
