Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Specification Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of engineering specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements, along with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams, consultants, and clients. The role is responsible for ensuring that all project specifications, standards, and compliance requirements are accurately defined and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain detailed technical specifications for engineering and construction projects in compliance with local and international standards.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment between specifications, project requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Provide technical guidance on the selection and application of materials, products, and systems.
• Review project drawings, technical documents, and product data sheets to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to resolve technical discrepancies and specification-related issues.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to verify compliance with approved specifications.
• Track and manage specification changes throughout the project lifecycle and update related documentation accordingly.
• Ensure specifications align with sustainability, quality assurance, and safety standards applicable in the UAE.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and resources remain consistent with specified requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, submittals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in specification engineering, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and international standards.
• Proficiency in specification and design tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, construction materials, and building practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
