We are seeking for an experienced and driven Specification Engineer Manager to lead and expand our switchgear business across UAE and Oman. This role focusses on building demand at the technical engineering specification level by working closely with the consulting engineers, electrical design firms to ensure our Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear solutions are specified in the upcoming projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical engineering knowledge of electrical distribution systems and a proven track record of influencing project specifications in commercial, industrial, utility and mission critical environments.
- Develop and execute a regional technical engineering specification driven Business strategy to grow market share in switchgear and related electrical power distribution and industrial control products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, specifiers and influencers in the electrical design community
- Actively track and infuence early stage construction projects to ensure our switchgear is included in the project vendor list via using engineering skillset
- Provide technical engineering presentations, lunch and learn sessions, design support to engineering firms and design build contractors
- Collaborate with internal application engineers and product managers to support the specifier community with drawings, technical data and bid documentation
- Work closely with the commercial sales team, channel partners and project managers to convert specifications into orders
- Conduct competitive analysis and gather market intelligence to drive strategy and positioning
Maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular updates to the management
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience in similar job function
7 to 10 years experience in the similar field
- In depth knowledge of electrical power management and industrial control products and solutions
- Building strong relationships, Business planning, Strategic thinking & Leadership attributes
