Job Purpose

  • The Sponsorship Director will be responsible for building and leading a world-class sponsorship function that maximizes the commercial and brand value of Red Sea Global’s destinations.
  • This role will design and deliver both inbound and outbound sponsorship strategies, secure high-value partnerships across priority sectors, and ensure the effective delivery and activation of sponsorship rights.
  • By combining commercial acumen with relationship excellence, the Director will drive revenue growth, foster long-term partnerships, and position The Red Sea and AMAALA as leading global platforms for luxury, lifestyle, and sustainability-focused sponsorships.


Job Responsibilities


Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement an integrated Sponsorship Strategy aligned with RSG’s marketing objectives and annual destination events calendar.
  • Map and prioritize sponsorship prospects across key sectors including luxury, travel, finance, lifestyle, technology, and sustainability.
  • Define, package, and value sponsorship assets to maximize attractiveness and market relevance.


Acquisition & Revenue Generation

  • Lead end-to-end sponsorship sales from prospecting, pitching, and negotiation through to closing deals.
  • Achieve annual sponsorship revenue targets and contribute to broader business growth.
  • Design innovative sponsorship models that balance financial return with brand equity.


Management & Activation

  • Manage and nurture long-term sponsor relationships, ensuring full delivery of contractual rights.
  • Oversee sponsor integration across destination events, ensuring optimal visibility, alignment, and guest experience.
  • Lead the design and execution of creative, high-impact sponsorship activations across physical, digital, and experiential platforms.


Evaluation & Governance

  • Track, measure, and report sponsorship performance against KPIs, including ROI and media value.
  • Evaluate and refine sponsorship strategies based on data-driven insights and partner feedback.
  • Ensure compliance, transparency, and governance in all sponsorship agreements and activations.
  • Discovery & Asset Development with the objective to define, package, and value all sponsorship assets and opportunities.


Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to divisional strategy and business plans in alignment with RSG’s vision and mission.
  • Develop departmental objectives, KPIs, and operational plans, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget, aligning resources with business priorities.
  • Establish and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team with expertise in sponsorship sales, partnerships, and activations.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met

Job Requirements:


Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.


Years of Experience:

  • 12+ years’ experience in sponsorship, partnerships, or commercial leadership, ideally in luxury, hospitality, tourism, sports, or large-scale events.


Other Requirements:

  • Proven track record of securing multi-million-dollar sponsorships and managing global partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in building sponsorship strategies and delivering measurable ROI.


Technical Competencies:

  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional negotiation and deal-structuring capabilities = Advanced
  • Extensive network across luxury, travel, lifestyle, and corporate sectors = Advanced
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution = Advanced
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills = Advanced
