Sports Events ICT Operations & Services Specialist

📌 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Events ICT Operations & Services Specialist to ensure the flawless delivery of technology for large-scale international tournaments. This role is pivotal in planning, operating, and supporting all event-critical ICT systems from inception through to post-event decommissioning. The ideal candidate will have proven, hands-on experience in high-pressure, live event environments, demonstrating expertise in tournament-time operations, rapid incident management, and comprehensive event support services. You will collaborate closely with various event departments, including operations and venue teams, to define ICT requirements and execute readiness exercises. Your responsibility will be to guarantee the 24/7 availability and performance of key systems such as competition management, accreditation, and results, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders.

🎯 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

▸ 3-7 years of experience delivering ICT services for large-scale, international sports events or tournaments.

▸ Proven experience in tournament-time live ICT operations, ensuring 24/7 availability of critical systems.

▸ Demonstrable experience in planning ICT services and participating in test events, rehearsals, and operational readiness exercises.

▸ Strong skills in ICT incident and major incident management within a time-critical event environment.

▸ Hands-on experience supporting core tournament systems for functions like competition management, accreditation, scheduling, and results.

▸ Proficiency in managing and supporting event networks, applications, and end-user systems.

▸ Experience operating event service desks and providing on-site technical support for staff, officials, and volunteers.

▸ Ability to perform effectively under intense operational pressure and in fast-paced environments.

✨ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀:

▸ Experience working on major events in Qatar or the GCC region.

▸ Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a related field.

▸ Experience coordinating with third-party vendors, international partners, and sports federations.

▸ Flexibility to work extended hours, shifts, and event schedules, including nights and weekends.

▸ Valid Qatar residency or transferable sponsorship.
