Responsibilities


Create a comprehensive communications strategy for each assigned sport, setting the direction of all public relations efforts. Develop a collaborative working relationship with internal creative staff and external media outlets to increase awareness of student-athletes, coaches and teams.

Manage all social media accounts for assigned teams. Develop content plans in collaboration with internal content creators to highlight team success, program tenets and individual personalities while supporting other external initiatives, including ticket sales and Seminole Boosters. Track analytics and emerging platforms to increase FSU's social media reach. Oversee all photography efforts for each assigned team, ensuring photography coverage, delivery and archiving of all photos.

Manage all media availability´s for coaches and student-athletes on assigned teams. Proactively arrange regular availability´s, including pre-competition and post-competition press conferences, as well as fulfill individual interview requests.

Produce an annual record book for assigned sports, ensuring accuracy of information for current team and historical details. Maintain accurate statistics throughout the season and submit statistics to the conference and national offices.

Write, edit and publish press releases and game notes. Communicate with local, national and broadcast media to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available.

Manage and assign media credentials for assigned sports in a consistent manner based on the policies set forth by the FSU public relations office, the ACC and the NCAA.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree and three years of experience, including one year experience related to sports journalism, or a combination of post high school education and related experience equal to seven years.
