Spray Painter

• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and removing old paint to ensure proper adhesion.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints using appropriate materials such as putty, plaster, or other fillers.
• Select appropriate premixed paints or mix required portions of paint, thinners, and drying agents to achieve specified colors in accordance with work instructions.
• Apply paint to surfaces using brushes or spray guns, ensuring required number of coats and thickness as per standards.
• Receive, review, and complete assigned work orders while maintaining accurate records of materials used and labor hours.
• Maintain tools and assist in managing inventory of painting materials and related equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, cleanliness, and absence of dust or contaminants.
• Operate all painting tools and equipment in accordance with established safety guidelines and procedures.
• Be available for overtime work as required to meet operational demands.
• Keep the work area clean and organized; maintain equipment in optimal condition as per preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and functional (e.g., spray guns, orbital sanders, compressors).
• Store, handle, and dispose of paints, primers, thinners, and other chemicals safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Foster a positive work environment through respectful communication and professional conduct with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Identify and correct unsafe work conditions; immediately report unresolvable hazards to the supervisor.
• Follow all instructions and directives issued by the immediate supervisor.
