Painter/Gypsum

The Painter/Gypsum is responsible to perform high-standard painting, decorative finishes, and gypsum installation and repair works across the estate's residential and service areas. The role ensures aesthetically pleasing, durable, and well-maintained finishes for walls, ceilings, and decorative features while aligning with the luxury quality expectations of the estate environment.

JOB LOCATION - FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Trade Certificate or Diploma in Painting, Plastering, or Interior Finishing (preferred).
• Familiarity with UAE climate-appropriate materials and finishes.
• Vocational training in gypsum board installation, drywall systems, and decorative painting (advantageous).
• Basic HSE awareness training or certification (preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in interior/exterior painting and gypsum ceiling/wall installations, preferably in luxury villas, hospitality settings, or high-end private estates in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience working in occupied VIP residences with a focus on cleanliness, discretion, and finish quality
• Background in both new construction projects and maintenance/repair work.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Painting Works

• Skilled in interior and exterior painting, including brush, roller, and spray techniques.
• Proficient in applying emulsions, enamels, varnishes, textured paints, and special finishes (e.g., faux, Venetian plaster).
• Surface preparation including puttying, sanding, priming, and filler application for seamless finishes.

Gypsum & Ceiling Works

• Installation, finishing, and repair of gypsum partitions, false ceilings, bulkheads, light coves, and wall features.
• Skilled in taping, jointing, and sanding gypsum boards to achieve invisible seams and smooth surfaces.
• Ability to execute curved and decorative designs in coordination with interior designers or supervisors.

Surface Preparation & Finishing

• Preparing surfaces for painting or gypsum works, removing old finishes, and ensuring surfaces are clean, dry, and even.
• Matching existing color tones and finishes for touch-up work and restorations.
• Ensuring all finishes meet premium aesthetic and durability standards.

Tool & Material Handling

• Proficient in the use of brushes, rollers, spray guns, sanding machines, taping tools, and other finishing equipment.
• Responsible for material selection, safe usage, and waste control.
• Familiar with paint brands, plaster compounds, and gypsum materials suited for UAE conditions.

Professionalism in Estate Environments

• High level of attention to detail, cleanliness, and respect for privacy in VIP and occupied spaces.
• Ability to work quietly, neatly, and efficiently in live environments.
• Flexible to support urgent touch-up requests, pre-event preparations, and special design features.

Coordination & Safety

• Coordinating with engineers, interior teams, and housekeeping to schedule works without disruption.
• Following health and safety practices, especially when working at heights or in enclosed areas.
• Keeping work areas clean, secure, and organized.
