The Division:

The Position:
We are looking for an SQA Automation Analyst with hands-on experience in UI and API automation. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and support manual testing when needed. This role requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

The selected individuals will work out of the Contour Software Karachi resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API using Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, and Postman.
  • Contribute to test planning, test case design, and execution for manual and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to ensure product quality in Agile/Scrum cycles.
  • Perform database validation and back-end testing using SQL.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, work with developers for timely closure.
  • Improve automation coverage, framework scalability, and QA efficiency.
  • Document test results and maintain automation codebase and QA reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Strong UI automation experience (Selenium or Playwright).
  • Strong API automation experience (RestAssured & Postman).
  • Working knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber or SpecFlow).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and validation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Java or C# for automation scripting.
  • Good SQL skills for database testing.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, clean coding practices, and good communication skills.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience in payments/fintech domain.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
