SQA Engineer

We're Hiring: Senior SQA Engineer.

CronySoft is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior SQA Engineer to join our dynamic team! As a senior member of the QA department, you will take ownership of designing and executing robust testing strategies, mentoring junior QA engineers, and ensuring the highest quality standards across all projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UI designers, development team, product managers, stake-holders throughout the SDLC to identify, mitigate, and manage risks proactively.
• Lead the design, development, and execution of test strategies and comprehensive test plans covering functionality, usability, performance, and security.
• Write and review high-quality, well-documented test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Leverage advanced SQL/database testing skills to validate data integrity, stored procedures, and performance.
• Implement, optimize, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Conduct API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure integration of QA processes with Agile/Scrum methodologies for seamless project delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, reviewing their test cases and automation scripts.
• Champion best practices in QA manual, test automation driving continuous improvement of testing frameworks.
• Identify and report security vulnerabilities using penetration testing techniques (a plus).
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
• Stay updated with emerging QA tools, techniques, and technologies, recommending adoption where beneficial.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Proven expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, problem-solving, and logical reasoning applied in test design.
• Solid understanding of SQL, scripting, and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Experience with testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• Experience in defining and updating QA processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to identify root causes of complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and lead QA efforts within cross-functional teams.
