SQA Engineer

Overview:

As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile and web applications through thorough testing and analysis. You will collaborate closely with software developers and product managers to identify defects, propose solutions, and verify fixes, ultimately delivering a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution:

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile and web applications.

Execute test cases manually and/or automate using appropriate tools.

Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to validate software functionality and performance.

Defect Management:

Document and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) with clear steps to reproduce and severity assessment.

Work closely with developers to investigate, prioritize, and resolve reported issues in a timely manner.

Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of identified defects.

Quality Assurance Processes:

Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality software delivery.

Continuously improve testing methodologies and strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to ensure alignment on product requirements and quality standards.

Provide timely and accurate feedback on product quality and potential risks.

Skills and Requirements:

Must have minimum 2-4 years of experience.

Load testing, Performance testing and API testing.

Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both mobile and web applications.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, XCTest, Espresso).

Proficiency in using issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).

Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
