Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented SQA Engineer to join our on-site development team in DHA Phase 2, Islamabad. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Django-powered backend and React/Next.js front-end platform. Your role will be critical in delivering a smooth, secure, and bug-free experience to thousands of students globally.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for web-based applications.

Test user-facing features built with React.js and Next.js.

Perform backend validation and API testing for our Django REST APIs.

Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or Trello.

Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product owners during sprints.

Conduct regression testing, smoke testing, performance testing, and cross-browser testing.

Maintain testing environments and support CI/CD quality checkpoints.

Proactively identify edge cases and usability issues.

Contribute to QA documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

✅ Requirements

Must-Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in software QA/testing.

Understanding of modern frontend technologies (React.js/Next.js) and RESTful APIs.

Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

Familiarity with Python-based backends, preferably Django.

Working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).

Experience with Git-based workflows and CI tools.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Clear written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-Have:

Knowledge of performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6).

Familiarity with testing authentication flows and third-party integrations.

Experience with test coverage reporting (e.g., Jest, Pytest-cov).

Exposure to educational or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
