Sr. Accountant

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across the parent company and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Consolidate accounts of the parent company and subsidiaries for management reporting.
  • Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial forecasts.

2. Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise and guide the accountants in the team, ensuring proper allocation of tasks.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and reports prepared by junior accountants.
  • Train and support team members in accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/local accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits, interim audits, and group reporting.
  • Handle VAT/Tax filing, compliance, and queries from authorities.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets for the company and subsidiaries.
  • Conduct cost analysis and recommend measures for cost efficiency.
  • Track expenses vs. budget and highlight deviations to management.

5. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

  • Oversee vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and supplier reconciliations.
  • Monitor receivables, follow up on collections, and ensure proper aging analysis.
  • Approve payment vouchers, invoices, and journal entries.

6. Treasury & Cash Flow

  • Manage cash flow planning for smooth operations across entities.
  • Handle banking activities, LC/Guarantee arrangements, and fund transfers between subsidiaries.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

7. Policy & Process Improvements

  • Implement internal controls and ensure adherence across the accounting team.
  • Standardize accounting processes across the parent company and subsidiaries.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in accounting systems (ERP/Tally/SAP).

8. Management Support

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
  • Support in feasibility studies, investment evaluations, and business expansion planning.
  • Prepare reports for Board/Management meetings as require

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
