Sr. Accountant

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Process vendor payments, reimbursements, and maintain payment schedules.
  • Monitor cash flow and support budget planning and forecasting.
  • Process payroll and coordinate salary-related accounting entries as required.
  • Prepare and submit monthly Withholding Tax (WHT) returns and ensure timely tax deposits in compliance with FBR regulations.
  • Prepare, file, and manage Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) sales tax returns and maintain complete supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities when required.
  • Analyze financial reports, identify variances, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Maintain accounting records and ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Assist in strengthening financial controls and improving accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal/tax requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with monthly WHT filing, FBR portal, and SRB sales tax filing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
