Sr. Accounts Payable Administrator (Construction)

What you will do

• Process 1,200–1,500 complex vendor invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy in pricing, specifications, and compliance.
• Serve as subject matter expert on 13,000+ SKUs, including construction materials, product variations, measurements, and pricing structures.
• Resolve complex pricing discrepancies and vendor disputes, including multi-invoice issues, contract interpretation, and UOM conversions.
• Audit purchase orders and invoices to identify installation errors, missing materials, incorrect products, and systemic vendor billing issues.
• Lead receiving operations improvements, including SOP development, staff training, quality control oversight, and cross-department collaboration.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of accounts payable or receiving experience in construction materials or a related industry.
• Advanced math and analytical skills, including complex unit conversions and problem resolution.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, installation processes, and industry practices, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in ERP systems, project management software, and vendor portals, with strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred:

• Direct experience with siding, exterior cladding, or construction installation.
• Accounts payable certification (CAP, CAPP) and experience with Sage Intacct or Airtable a plus
• Knowledge of multi-state sales tax compliance
