Role expectations


The Sr. Analyst, People Analytics should have exceptional skills with data analysis and insight gathering for our Global Human Capital teams.

In this role, you will…
The focus of this position is on two primary areas. First, this position will develop and support HR analytics, with a focus on data analysis and insights. This position will also support our Workforce Planning process and the Talent Acquisition team to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time to accomplish the future objectives of the organization. In addition, this position will support the HR Business Partners and the development of metrics and data models to help predict our future Human Capital needs.

This role requires the ability to focus and deliver in a rapidly changing environment. You must have a strong desire to learn, be able to think strategically, execute, and collaborate. This position will be a key contributor in the Global HR group. He/she will work in close partnership with Global HR leadership and use data/insights to drive strategy and evaluation of the Align workforce & other programs. You must enjoy working cross functionally and building effective, strong relationships with all assigned business partners.

  • Responsible for the creation of HR metrics and analytics
  • Deliver actionable insights, workforce trend data and information, and recommendations in support of the Global HR organization
  • Provide analytic support for development of the Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plans
  • Deliver business intelligence to feed into business decisions to executive leadership drawing from multiple systems such as Workday, LMS platforms, ATS, and other global HR data sources
  • Apply proactive, strategic thinking to develop and manage complex analysis in order to identify key change initiatives within the global HR organization
  • Development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) that help identify business opportunities and measure HR performance at the global level
  • Create and generate key ongoing reports such as a weekly business performance metrics that includes relevant analysis and commentary along with providing ad hoc analysis and special analytics projects on an as needed basis
  • Provide support to the Global HR organization team in answering questions and providing proactive analytics related to HR metrics, talent trends, and employee insights
  • HR data extraction, validation, manipulation, and analysis, aimed to provide insights and recommendations to the global HR management team
  • Applies proactive, strategic thinking to develop and manage complex analysis in order to identify drivers behind HR performance including headcount, attrition trends, and employee development
  • Create metrics and dashboards to identify trends in talent acquisition, total rewards, talent management, retention, employee demographics, and other key human capital metrics
  • Proactively provide suggestions to improve existing metrics & dashboards and ideas for new metrics and dashboards that would provide more actionable, relevant and timely business insights
  • Update, review, and ensure accuracy of various daily, weekly, and quarterly HR reports and dashboards in PowerBI
  • Support the analysis of survey data and help establish a global employee listening strategy
  • Draw upon best practices and external research to help inform the approach to analysis of human capital and business data


What we're looking for


In this role, you’ll need …
  • Knowledge of HCM systems such as Workday, Jobvite, LMS platforms, and Survey platforms
  • Knowledge of workforce planning principles, BI trends, digital solutions, and analytical best practices
  • Experience in reporting and visualization (PowerBI, DOMO, Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.) PowerBI required (at a minimum)
  • Proficiency in building models and dashboards in MS Excel is required
  • Proficiency of advanced formulas such as V/Hlookup, Index, Match, Filters in MS Excel is required
  • Database query skills are required (specifically, MS Excel, MS Access or SQL)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools a strong plus
  • 6+ years of experience in the HR and/or data analytics roles preferably
  • 6+ years of experience in HR Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Strong analytics, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses, and present insights and recommendations
  • Detail oriented with focus on quality and accuracy
  • Strong consulting skills

Education and/or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience with HR Analytics and/or data analytics
  • Prefer Workforce Planning experience within global business environment
  • Strong project management skills – must be able to set project schedules, manage tasks, influence others without authority and mitigate project risks
  • Exceptional Excel and database management skills
  • Nice to have: Python or R
