Raytheon is seeking a candidate to join our Production Control organization in El Segundo, CA. This critical role will be responsible for Supply and Demand controlling activities. The successful candidate will transact and execute in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Control systems to ensure alignment between material availability, production schedule, and contractual requirements. This role will work closely with operations, factory, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams, to ensure effective program execution. In this role, the ownership and use of metrics will be key to maintaining system health and drive the level of performance that will support customer expectations.

This job requires critical thinking, effective and concise communication to facilitate meetings and reports relating to material availability. This position requires integrity and tact in driving solutions and performance of various functional areas to achieve organizational and program objectives in a demanding, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is expected to exude Raytheon’s key values, facilitate conflict resolution, and apply Raytheon process improvement principles in all areas of work.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contract requirements
  • Releasing purchase requisitions to procure materials based on MRP, master production schedule, and inventory position
  • Preparing work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop capacity and program priorities
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
  • Working daily to confirm material supply and demand
  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build
  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions and taking corrective actions
  • Conducting inventory checks and reconciling the system
  • Performing movement of material to and from the warehouse, factory, pack/ship, and or other areas as needed
  • This will be an onsite role in our El Segundo, CA facility

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience in production control, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, packing/shipping, supply chain, commodity, material handling/management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or systems
  • Experience with special program access
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related manufacturing engineering ideally in a government contractor environment similar to Raytheon
  • Experience in Planning and Production Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing

    • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
