Sr. Cloud Engineer

Job Description :

• GCS Information Technology Services (Microsoft Midmarket Solution provider, Managed service provider) is looking for a self-driven Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our team.
• The selected candidates will work in full coordination with technical staff such as Chief System Architects, Solutions Architect and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather client requirements, assess, and design cloud system architecture/solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including virtual servers and services.
• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 (O365), AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
• Plan and execute migrations, including:
• Email migrations (from Exchange on-premises, Gmail/Google Workspace, and other systems to O365).
• File server migrations to SharePoint Online. o Exchange server to Microsoft 365 migrations.
• Configure and optimize Microsoft Exchange Servers (on-premises and cloud).
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues (hardware, software, networking, security, and performance).
• Monitor performance and capacity of cloud services, ensuring systems run within defined parameters.
• Optimize configurations, licensing, storage planning, and security for cloud environments.
• Apply timely updates, patches, and upgrades for servers, services, and firmware in line with client requirements.
• Research, recommend, and implement improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and system changes.
• Collaborate with vendors (e.g., Microsoft) for support, escalations, and issue resolution.
• Handle escalated tickets from L1/L2 teams and complete assignments from the Cloud Lead or management.

Job Specification:

• Education: Degree in IT / CS / Cloud Computing or a similar field
• Experience: At least 5+ years
• Preferred Certifications: AZ-305 AZ-104 MCP MD-102 MS-700 / 701 AWS, GCP & Alibaba are preferred
• Location: Lahore & Multan
• Shift: Night (6 pm-3 am)
